Planting Instructions:
Seed Preparation:
Scarify seeds by rubbing gently with sandpaper or nicking the seed coat to improve germination. Soak seeds in water for 24 hours before planting to enhance germination.
Sowing:
Plant seeds directly outdoors in spring after the last frost or in autumn. Sow seeds 1-2 cm (0.5-1 inch) deep in the prepared soil.
Germination:
Keep the soil consistently moist until germination, which can take 2-3 weeks. Maintain a temperature around 20-25°C (68-77°F) for optimal germination.
Transplanting:
Transplant seedlings into larger pots or directly into the ground when they are 10-15 cm (4-6 inches) tall. Space seedlings at least 3-4 meters (10-13 feet) apart to allow for their mature size.
Care and Maintenance:
Water young plants regularly until established. Provide occasional deep watering during dry spells. Mulch around the base of the tree to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Prune as needed to maintain shape and remove dead or damaged branches. Protect young plants from frost in colder climates.
