Reaching a mature height of 18 to 24 inches, it thrives in well-drained soil and can adapt to both full sun and partial shade conditions.
Planting Instructions:
Seed Preparation:
For best results, soak the seeds in warm water for 12-24 hours before sowing. This helps to soften the seed coat and encourage quicker germination.
Sowing:
Sow seeds directly outdoors in early spring, after the last frost, or start them indoors 6-8 weeks before the last expected frost date.
If sowing indoors, plant seeds 1/4 inch deep in seed trays or pots filled with a quality seed-starting mix.
If sowing directly, plant seeds 1/4 inch deep in prepared soil.
Germination:
Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged during the germination period.
Germination typically occurs within 10-21 days, depending on soil temperature and moisture levels.
Transplanting:
When seedlings have developed at least two sets of true leaves and the risk of frost has passed, harden them off by gradually exposing them to outdoor conditions over a week.
Transplant seedlings to their permanent location, spacing them 12-18 inches apart.
