Planting Instructions:

Seed Preparation:

Cold stratify seeds for 30-60 days before planting to improve germination rates.

Sowing:

Plant seeds in early spring or fall.

Choose a site with full sun and well-drained soil.

Scatter seeds over the soil surface or plant them 1/4 inch deep.

Germination:

Keep the soil consistently moist until seeds germinate, which can take several weeks to several months.

Germination rates can vary, but expect sprouting within 2-3 months under ideal conditions.

Transplanting:

Transplant seedlings once they are large enough to handle, typically after their first growing season.

Space seedlings or transplants at least 10 feet apart to accommodate mature tree size.

Care and Maintenance:

Water young trees regularly, especially during dry spells, to help establish roots.

Once established, Rocky Mountain Junipers are drought-tolerant and generally low-maintenance.

Prune selectively to shape the tree or remove dead/damaged branches.

Mulch around the base of the tree to conserve moisture and suppress weeds.
